What a beautiful start to wedding season for Paul and Sarah’s rustic, english country wedding at The Old Vicarage, Dorset. The pastel colour scheme, hessian and gyspophilia complimented the stunning flowergirl’s golden dresses. What a bridal gown Sarah had too…a lace, off the shoulder wedding dress which looked simply stunning! Sarah and Paul had nothing […]
Lulworth Castle is an exclusive venue nestled in the idyllic Jurassic Coastline of Dorset closeby to Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. With miles of stunning scenery surrounding the castle including views of the purbecks and rolling country hills, there are so many reasons why couples fall in love with this magical place. Well…I am of course going to be a little biased on this venue having got married there myself four years ago!
Nicole and Jake’s spring wedding from April began with us arriving to photograph the bridal preparations. As we walked into the bedroom there was a scene of vintage flowers, dusky bridesmaids dresses, Jimmy Choo’s and the most stunning blush pink Tara Keeley wedding dress. As a wedding photographer, it is always exciting seeing the bride’s dress for the first time and this time most certainly did not disappoint!
The boys were getting ready for the wedding just down the road at The Weld Arms, a quaint little pub filled with rustic decor just down the road from Lulworth Castle…
An emotional ceremony at the beautiful Lulworth chapel was followed by a reception full of sunshine, laughter and love! There was a definite star of the show…their pet dog!!! Charlie enjoyed all the attention as well as managing to persuade a few guests to share their icecreams…
What an absolutely beautiful moment between Father and son.
As the day went on and the guests took their seats for dinner, a special announcement was coming which came as an amazing surprise to everyone! During the Groom’s speech, Jake announced to all their family and friends that they were not only celebrating their wedding but also the fact they are going to be parents in about six months time. You can imagine the emotion in the room when this amazing announcement was made…tears were shed and hugs were given as Jake and Nicole’s little secret was out!
As the wedding day rolled on, we took Nicole and Jake off around the grounds of Lulworth Castle for their wedding portraits together. This is such a special time for every couple as it is the only time on a wedding day where you are alone and together. It gives you a chance to catch up, have a cuddle and say ‘we did it!!!’ And how lucky were we…a sunset at the castle finished off a perfect day…..
If you are planning a wedding at Lulworth Castle get in touch now, as one of their recommended photographers (and a previous Lulworth Bride) we know all the secrets into planning the perfect wedding at this amazing location…

Pendley Manor is a dream venue for any couple looking to get married in Hertfordshire. Set in the beautiful Herts countryside it is surrounded by rolling hills, immaculately landscaped gardens and quiet country lanes. As Pendley’s recommended photographers, it is always a pleasure for us to go back and visit this superb venue as we know each couple are going to enjoy a day nothing short of perfection. This was most certainly the case for Ben and Victoria who chose an early Spring wedding at Pendley this year.

So just what is it that makes a couple choose a certain time of year to get married? Some love the warmth of the summer sun and the long evenings of September whilst others hope for the frosty mornings of winter with their guests snuggled drinking Winter Pimms around an open fire more appealing. This summer we have been very fortunate to photograph many weddings at the stunning Highcliffe Castle starting with Claire and Jame’s big day in June. This lovely couple enjoyed a beautiful ceremony in The Wintergarden which overlooks Highcliffe Beach followed by a reception at Christchurch Harbour Hotel. The sun shone and the waves crashed at we hit the beach for their couple portraits.
The vintage seaside theme for Claire and James’ big day was absolutely perfect! Congratulations to a beautiful couple on what can only be described as a perfect day!
